really not impressed with this being made audio only, the old format was a lot better. Is it not possible to offer both formats like many other podcasts do (Rhett & Link’s Ear Biscuits for example). Also is there a way of rewinding/fast forwarding on this new format?

I truly feel that Ben should get the “Knigge” rules which stem from a formal observation of social classes and offers advice from why you should never place a knife (or any cutlery) back on the table to how to properly pass a breadbasket and when to select your piece of bread….

I wonder about Dill in other countries, here in rural Canada we call it dill weed because once you plant it, it grows like a weed ( meaning it grows easy and you can’t get it to die) I’m surprised by how they said it was hard to grow.

When will barry’s nan be a guest on the show…? We’ve been waiting a while for her appearance.

  5. Elin-ae

Ha! I finally got it to work, and as always it was well worth the wait.

I think this (https://youtu.be/U6OoCaGsz94) is what Jamie is referencing, start your day of by making your bed. It’s part of a commencement address by William H. McRaven and it’s really worth listening to if you haven’t already. If you need a big boost of inspiration, here’s the full speech (https://youtu.be/pxBQLFLei70)

It would be awesome, if James took part in one of those podcasts!

      • Firewolf

James Currie, please join the podcasts & do the videos again!

  7. Nomeo55

I agree that the video aspect was really fun! If people don’t like to see your peachy faces, then they can just listen! I loved the Grilled podcasts, BUT I did miss the videos!

    • Nomeo55

Otherwise, I think the format of keeping it to 2 people per podcast is fun! I also think you should start giving points, and do something similar to the brownie point system and at the end, the losers have to play food related truth or dare, lead by the winners (with some community input).

    I loved the video aspect!
It felt like you were there hanging out with all of you guys.

I love Jamie’s perspective on names– and he’s absolutely right! You can tell people “hey, my parents used to say this to get my attention [insert full name here], but I kind of prefer people use [insert nickname here], instead.”

Also, three cheers for the dial-up generation! May your mum never decide to use the phone halfway through your download of funny photos.

Finally! I had to log out, log back in, click the little red triangle, then tap inside the progress bar. Then, of course, try to drag it back to the beginning so I wouldn’t miss anything.

Or maybe all that was just a coincidence and someone flushed the intertubes.

    • allisonelizabeth

I didn’t have to log out/log in but clicking and dragging inside the progress bar got it working for me.

I can’t hear this. At first, I couldn’t hear Grilled either, until I stumbled across a trick that worked, but it doesn’t work with this. I have run out of ideas. I may cry.

    • Elin-ae

What was the trick? Can’t get any of them to work.. 🙁

  12. cunningartificer

Did people say they didn’t want a video? Video is really useful when you’re hard of hearing. 🙁

  13. Esther

I watched the podcasts!! People who don’t want to had the option of listening to just scroll down the page, open another tab or, listen on Soundcloud, etc. I didn’t mind that your faces were ‘boring’. They were… more relaxed in comparison to the videos on the channel and I think that it allowed us the opportunity to see another side into each of your personalities!

    • i enjoyed the videos…where’s the video…

      • We definitely need the video back!!

  14. Elin-ae

Still can’t listen to it 🙁 I get cut off about 3 seconds in, every time I try… was the same with the first season, but there we had the video which worked great..

S5 E1 – Can dining alone be fun?

Solo dining is incredibly popular in Japan and Ben’s been lucky enough to head over and try it for himself. With dining alone becoming more socially acceptable, the guys discuss their experiences which eventually leads them to the question… to room service or not to room service? What are your guys thoughts?
